Ajdovska Cave is open on weekends from October 15 to April 15 each season – from Friday at 3 PM until Sunday at 6 PM, including the entire Saturday.
You may enter the cave freely (only through the right-hand entrance for safety reasons), at your own risk and with appropriate equipment (suitable footwear and flashlights), and in small groups.
Visitors are expected to respect the space – nothing should be brought in or taken out, and no damage should be caused in any way. Parking directly in front of the cave is also not allowed.
This is a temporary measure to ensure access to the cave, proposed by the Municipality of Krško and approved by both the Institute for Nature Conservation and the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage (until a permanent management solution is established).
However, if any vandalism is detected during this period, access to the cave will once again be restricted.
